Mary Kate & Michael are excited to invite you to their wedding on 05.13.2022 at the Berkley Manor, in Ocracoke, North Carolina.

With every new beginning, it starts with a remote and exotic destination!

Mary Kate and Michael chose to host their wedding on the remote Island of Ocracoke. Ocracoke has a special place in their hearts, as they continued to visit the Outer Banks through their relationship. Ocracoke has always been a small island where we could always be happy and relaxed. We felt like when we were on Ocracoke Island we felt at home and had no worries. We hope you can come experience the joys of Ocracoke and join us for our exciting day!

Why Ocracoke, NC?

Hello Friends and Family!

Thank you for visiting our Wedding website! Here we hope to have provided you with all the information you will need to come celebrate our special day with us.

We have put much time and consideration in where we would like to spend our special day with our friends and family. For many years the Outer Banks has been our “go-to” vacation spot, due to the connections we feel to the Barrier Islands. After much consideration we have decided to host our wedding on the Island of Ocracoke, the southernmost Barrier Island in the Outer Banks.

Ocracoke Island holds a special place in our hearts that continues to build and strengthen our relationship every time we visit the island.

Michael has been traveling down to the Outer Banks for 20 years of his life with his family, soaking up and enjoying what the island has to offer in the “on season”. Michael continuously shared many memories of great times, explaining how the Islands are one of his favorite places in the world; and how he wished one day he could share the Outer Banks with Mary Kate.

For our one-year anniversary Michael treated Mary Kate to long weekend visit the Outer Banks for her first time. In the middle of a cold windy December week, unknowing of what the “off season” would be like and having no idea what to expect, they both were excited to see how Mary Kate would like the Islands. We found a little Inn in Buxton to stay in for the couple of days.

As we found there was little to do in the “off season”, we wanted to explore every inch of the Outer Banks. On the second day, Michael wanted to take Mary Kate on an adventure to go see his favorite lighthouse on Ocracoke.

Mary Kate had no idea she was about to take a ferry ride to a little slice of heaven across the sound.

Once we got the Island, Mary Kate not only fell in love with the Island’s lighthouse, but she fell in love with all the Island’s culture and the connection she felt towards the Island and village grew stronger as she explored throughout the day. Though not much was open, Mary Kate and Michael’s relationship began to grow stronger and beginning to build a deeper connection with each other and the Outer Banks.

As we continue to go back to Ocracoke to visit for vacations or just for the day, the island holds a very special place in our hearts.

We hope you can come experience Ocracoke Island first hand with us as we plan to take the next step of our relationship in our favorite place.

Love you all!

Sincerely,

Mary Kate K. & Michael G.
